On my Samsung Laptop PC running Windows Vista, in My Computer, it has 2 folders. One says
"Local Disk (C:) 9.99GB free of 109GB. (almost full)
The other says
"Local Disc (D:) 109GB free of 110GB."
The C disk has all the stuff on it, the premade documets and video folders and stuff. CAN I save files in the other disk and use them the same way? if i could that would be good. Please answer, you could really help me.

Okay, so I have Asus A6R notebook and, recently I downloaded windows 7 x32 home premium. Everything is working fine and all, except for the sound. There is no sound. See, it says no audio output device is installed and there's an "x" on the speakers icon on the taskbar. I had SoundMAX, so I tried downloading soundMAX drivers online, but some weren't compatible with the hard-drive and some wouldn't work.. I really can't live without sound on my laptop, and I really don't know what to do. If you could help me, you'll get 10 points and it'll mean a lot to me.
Notice that:
- I went on asus.com to download the driver, but they were all realtek but I tried downloading anyway and of course none worked.
- Most drivers I found were only compatible with windows 2000/XP.
I had windows 7 evaluation copy and everything was great. I don't want to change windows 7, it's really good. So, help me please?

I use windows 7. I upgraded it from windows vista. But this is a recurrent problem for me. Many time when i open a video/audio file or use IM's like skype or play microsoft games like solitare etc the browser/program gets hanged. I tried to formated my system twice and reloaded the OS but my problem persists. Can some one help me?

whenever i want to open up something, i need to right click and do start or open, becuase if i try to open it normally, it pops up a window asking which program to open it with. i also cant download things because wen they download it says file not found. also, my computer freezes randomly, but most of the time its when something on my screen is moving, (videos or games), but i can look at text without problems. when it freezes, it also repeats the last sound it made, and im able to open up start menu, but then that freezes, then control panel and i cant see anything after i click it.
i also had a virus similar to antivirus live on my computer, so i did a system restore to a point were i didnt have it

I have windows Vista and not a Mac. When I minimise my iTunes, a little white tab comes up at the bottom where you can still control the volume and pause songs etc. but my one of these has stopped working, it still comes up when I minismise iTunes but it doesn't respond when I click it, try to change volume or do anything. Before I could click restore and my iTunes would pop up again but this doesn't happen anymore.. what can I do?
Also, my volume button in the bottom righthand corner, next to the time, has also stopped responding. when I click on it to try and change the volume nothing happens! what can I do?

I am getting sound.. it's fixed on a medium volume at the moment but I can't change it! I click on the icon and nothing happens.

When I connect to the internet my bandwidth goes at what I suppose would be a normal rate. I open a page with writing - a few kilobytes. I open a page with pictures obviously it uses up more. This happens more often than not.
Then I encounter a problem on occasion when I haven't even opened a page of any sort (I use Firefox) and my bandwidth goes at an alarming rate of about 1 meg per second. I don't even open a page and it just goes and goes. When this happens I disconnect and reconnect. Then it usually goes back to normal but sometimes I have to disconnect and connect up to three or four times until it stops.
It happened earlier on again when I logged on to check my email. I didn't have any new email and wrote a quick one to someone. I was stupid because I usually check how fast the bandwidth is going but I forgot. After being online for about 5 minutes (just whilst writing - not opening anything) it had suddenly used up 44 megs! I didn't attach files. Nothing!
I use a modem. What on earth is going on??

I have recently had a problem with Microsoft Office documents. When I try to open them I get a message that they are not installed for the current user and to run setup to install the application. I am the only user and administrator. I have removed and reinstalled office but have not had any luck. I think some automatic updates were downloaded by my computer between the last time my office documents opened and 3 hours later when they didn't. Help appreciated.

- Open Question: Help with photo file backup to 32 mb SD card.?
I'm driving myself crazy trying to back up my digital photo files from my PC. I have tried a flash drive and then 32 MB SD cards used in about 4 different card readers. Bottom line is I can't seem to get more than 4 MB of files on the card before suddenly I get an error message and corrupted files that cannot be deleted. The only way to delete them is by formatting the card over or by running chkdisk on the card. The original files on my hard drive are not corrupt as they can be easily opened with my photo software and copied to another PC on my home network without any problem. It seems I can get almost 4 MB of data on the 32 MB card and then it starts messing up. I get error messages saying that the files are corrupt? HELP!!

I was looking around at old Amiga/Commodore systems and realizing the relatively outdated cpu components, as compared to todays. I was wondering, if I were to make my own computer, then what sort of system should I look at for a base?
the main thing i could use would be my old nintendo 64, which i have already taken the case off of. i have access to several computer components that i can take from some old Dell XP computers (the thick bulky ones; standard 256 RAM, 60Gig hard drive, 32-bit OS, etc.) i also have an 40G hard drive that i was going to get a case for to make it external but... meh....
as i said, i am interested in using the nintendo 64 as the main base (i know the XP computer is already done, but the whole purpose is make my OWN) so if you could point me to a good tutorial or something on how to do something like this, it would be great! thanks!

Vista help and internets tell me that i can add tags when saving files in Vista.
However I don't get any option to tag files when I'm saving either word documents (Word 2003) or images from the web with firefox.
If it makes any difference I'm running Home Premium.
Anybody got any ideas how to get the tags working when saving (They work fine adding them in photo gallery but that's a pain).
